Entitled

by TreVaughn Malik Roach-Carter

I’m entitled to forget.

I’m entitled to look, to feel, to think my thoughts.

I’m entitled to mistakes.

I’m entitled to learn and understand.

I’m entitled to know.

I’m entitled to want.

I’m entitled to friends and family.

I’m entitled to time.

I’m entitled to space.

I’m entitled to be free.

I’m entitled to do what I want.

I’m entitled to love who I love.

I’m entitled to be who I want to be.
